BesteBakken serves local food – most of our raw ingredients are selected from local distributors or gathered from our very own garden. We have developed and composed products and dishes that are both healthy and tasty – and an experience for the senses.
The dining rooms are found in the well-preserved original building which dates from 1910. Here we can accommodate 32 guests. For larger affairs we can also make use of our conference room and accommodate an additional 20 guests.

Enjoying breakfast at BesteBakken is experiencing a cross-section of local raw materials, prepared from old and new recipes. We serve everything from homemade jams , to home-baked bread , smoked trout, and homemade eggsalad, an d homemade, toasted muesli.
We have composed evening meals and desserts which suites BesteBakkens intimate atmosphere and unique character. The dishes are prepared with local ingredients for a full evening experience.
Of course, we presents personally each ‘dish. In line with BesteBakkens food philosophy, we are only happy to convey the interesting secrets that are hidden behind the fragrance and taste sensations.
At BesteBakken we take pride in making every dinner a banquet and serve the daily, great taste experience as 3 to 6-course dinners.
FROM THE EARTH TO THE TABLE
At BesteBakken, the garden stands firmly in at the centre and we actively use it for both dinner in the evenings and for breakfast in the mornings. A taste of the garden makes it possible to reach new dimensions in culinary experiences at BesteBakken. If you’re lucky, you can also have lunch served in the Orangery built in 2019.
